Annual Development Program (ADP) allocation is being revised like every year. The size of ADP is reduced by 18 thousand crores after being revised. This money is being deducted from ADP due to not being able to implement the project on time.
However, in the revised ADP in other financial years, although the share of own funding is unchanged, this time the allocation of funds is being reduced from there as well.
The revised ADP is likely to be approved at the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) held on March 12 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
It is known that in the current financial year, 1 lakh 69 thousand crore rupees have been allocated as the government’s own fund for ADP. 7 thousand crores are being reduced from there. In this revised ADP own funds will stand at 1 lakh 61 thousand 500 crores.
Meanwhile, currently 94 thousand crores of foreign funding has been allocated in the main ADP. It has been decided to reduce Tk 10,500 crore from there. As a result of reduction in allocation, its size in the revised ADP stands at 83 thousand 500 crores.
According to the related sources, the draft of the revised ADP has been finalized in the extended meeting of the Ministry of Planning. The meeting was held at the NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Sunday.
According to Planning Commission sources, normally in other financial years, in the revised ADP, the allocation from foreign funding was reduced while keeping own funding unchanged. But this time a large part is being cut from the own financing.
