Convenor of the anti-discrimination student movement Hasnat Abdullah has said that any Chhatra League that wants to become a Chhatra League will end up like the Chhatra League.

He warned this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (February 18) evening.

Earlier, tension arose at the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) over the demand to stop student politics. During this, a chase and counter-chase occurred between two groups. In this, 40 people from both sides were injured. The incident took place on the Kuet campus on Tuesday (February 18) afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said that in the afternoon, students circled the university student halls chanting various slogans including ‘Student politics is the address, this Kuet will not be’, ‘My demand is only one, I want a politics-free campus’, ‘This campus will not be, this is the address of student politics’. Later, tension arose between the two groups of students in front of the Central Jama Masjid. Later, the chase and counter-chase spread outside Kuet.

Kuet clash, new program of anti-discrimination student movement
Outsiders from Kuet pocket gate got involved in a clash on the side of a group. Several people were injured in the clash. The injured in the clash are seen being taken to the hospital one by one in Kuet ambulances. So far, the injured have been taken to the hospital in 4 ambulances.

At around 2 pm on this day, BNP-supported outsiders beat a student outside Kuet pocket gate, seriously injured him and threw him inside the campus. Since then, extreme tension has arisen among ordinary students. The outsiders vandalized a Kuet car. Students attacked several houses in front of the Kuet main gate. Extreme tension still prevails inside Kuet.

Khanjahan Ali Police Station OC Md. Kabir Hossain said that tension has arisen between two groups of students in Kuet. Later, a chase and counter-chase occurred. We are working to control the situation.
