The anti-quota movement is gaining momentum. Anti-discrimination united student society has announced total blockade program across the country. It has been named ‘Bangla Blockade’.
On Sunday (July 7), students agitating against quota system will hold Bangla Blockade program across the country. Before this program, as a part of the regular program of the student society, the class examination boycott program will continue in the educational institutions of the country.
The program was announced on Saturday (July 6) afternoon at the capital’s Shahbag intersection in protest against the reinstatement of quota in government jobs. Dhaka University Social Welfare Department student Nahid Islam announced this.
He said, tomorrow, Sunday, from 3 pm, a total blockade program of Bengal Blockade has been announced across the country. Along with this, as a part of the regular program, the class examination boycott program will continue in educational institutions across the country. The anti-discrimination student society is requesting the participation of students of all universities and colleges in the Bangla block program.
Nahid said, he said, in this movement, college and university students will come down at every point including Shahbagh, Sciencelab, Changharpool, Neelkhet, Motijheel in Dhaka, you will make the Bangla blockade program successful. Also, students will block highways in different districts of the country. We want to know from the government, why the circular of 2018 was canceled? Why is quota discrimination still not being resolved in the third and fourth class? Why still 56 percent quota in third and fourth class? How brave of them to bring it up in class 1 and 2. But we will give a strong response to this.
