Dhaka: The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Dhananjay Jaswant (DY) Chandrachud observed the proceedings while sitting in the courtroom of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
On Sunday (February 25) after 9 o’clock in the morning, the Chief Justice of Bangladesh along with two other judges of India appeared in the courtroom.
At that time, the chief legal officer of the state, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin and the President of the Supreme Court Bar. Mumtaz Uddin Fakir thanked the Chief Justice of India.
Later, the Appellate Division trial continued.
Before leaving the bench, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said, ‘It is an honor for me to observe your trial. Sitting with my other two colleagues, I didn’t think I was in Bangladesh. Because I also have to give such an order to the Supreme Court of India.
DY Chandrachud invited the lawyers and judges of Bangladesh to the Supreme Court of the country to visit the judicial work of India and the judicial culture of India and Bangladesh is similar.
The Chief Justice of India also said, ‘I will forward what your bar president said about the training of lawyers. But in this case, I will ask to give priority to young lawyers.
