FIFA has appointed two Bangladeshi officials to prestigious global football committees, marking another milestone for the country’s football administration.
Tabith Awal has been nominated as a member of the Football Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Committee, while Mahfuza Akter Kiron has secured a place in the Youth Girls’ Competition Committee. Both appointments will remain effective until 2029.
On Wednesday (October 8), the Nepal Football Federation first announced the inclusion of its officials in FIFA committees. Shortly afterward, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officially confirmed the nominations of the two Bangladeshi representatives.
While this marks Tabith Awal’s first appointment as BFF President to a FIFA committee, Mahfuza Akter Kiron has previously served in several standing committees as part of FIFA’s executive structure. According to the BFF, both nominations were made directly by FIFA.
