With just under a year to go, FIFA has officially released ticketing information for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This edition of the tournament will be historic in scale, featuring 48 national teams and a record 104 matches across North America.
FIFA estimates that the expanded format could attract over 6.5 million fans throughout the tournament, making it the largest World Cup in history.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, and will conclude on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey, the same venue that recently hosted the FIFA Club World Cup final.
“Excitement for World Cup 2026 has reached new heights following the incredible success of the Club World Cup,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “As Canada, Mexico, and the United States prepare to host the biggest sporting event on the planet, we’re ready to welcome the world to North America. Football fans everywhere should start planning now—this will be the most sought-after event in global sports.”
