Bangladesh Bank has reported a significant rise in remittance inflows during the first 13 days of September. According to the latest data released on Monday, expatriates sent USD 1.306 billion during this period, marking a 13.5% increase compared to the same period last year, when remittances stood at USD 1.15 billion.
From July 1 to September 13 of the current fiscal year, Bangladeshi expatriates sent a total of USD 6.205 billion in remittances, up from USD 5.288 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
