Amid the soybean oil crisis in the country, 52,100 metric tons of soybean oil arrived from Brazil-Argentina. If these crude oils are quickly unloaded, refined and marketed, the soybean oil market will soon be under control.
Chattogram Port Authority Secretary Md. Omar Faruk confirmed the arrival of four ships carrying crude soybean oil at the port.
He said that a total of 52,100 tons of crude soybean oil have arrived in the four ships.
Of this, the entire oil has been unloaded from Ardmore Cheyenne. The oil from the remaining three ships is being kept in a custom-controlled tank terminal. After paying the duty, the crude oil will be sent to the factory.
In response to a question, he said that special importance is given to such cargo ships from the arrival of the port to maintain the supply of consumer goods in the country.
