Amid the soybean oil crisis in the country, 52,100 metric tons of soybean oil arrived from Brazil-Argentina. If these crude oils are quickly unloaded, refined and marketed, the soybean oil market will soon be under control.

Chattogram Port Authority Secretary Md. Omar Faruk confirmed the arrival of four ships carrying crude soybean oil at the port.

He said that a total of 52,100 tons of crude soybean oil have arrived in the four ships.

Of this, the entire oil has been unloaded from Ardmore Cheyenne. The oil from the remaining three ships is being kept in a custom-controlled tank terminal. After paying the duty, the crude oil will be sent to the factory.

In response to a question, he said that special importance is given to such cargo ships from the arrival of the port to maintain the supply of consumer goods in the country. So that the goods can be unloaded as quickly as possible without any problems. In this case too, the utmost importance is being given to soybean oil ships.

According to port sources, a tanker ship named MT Ardmore Cheyenne departed from Argentina for Chittagong Port on November 5. The ship reached Chittagong on December 6. After unloading the cargo, the ship left Chittagong Port for India on December 9. Another ship named MT Sunny Victory departed from a Brazilian port on November 7 with crude soybean oil. The ship reached Chittagong on December 10. Two ships have brought 21,500 tons of soybean oil to Chittagong Port.

Another ship named MT Dumbledore departed from the South American country of Argentina for Chittagong on November 2. The ship reached Chittagong on December 7. In addition, a ship named Zinga Thresher from the same country departed for Chittagong on November 5. The ship reached Chittagong on December 10. These two ships have 30,600 tons of soybean oil.
