Appeal hearings began at 10:20 am on Wednesday (January 14) at the Election Commission’s auditorium located in Agargaon, Dhaka (Basement-2).
According to officials, hearings will be held today for a total of 70 appeals, covering appeal numbers 281 to 350. The proceedings are scheduled to continue until 5:00 pm.
Over the previous four days, hearings were conducted for 280 appeals. Of these, 52 appeals were approved on the first day, 57 on the second day, 40 on the third day, and 53 on the fourth day.
Under the revised election schedule, all appeals will be resolved between January 10 and January 18. The deadline for candidates to withdraw their nominations is January 20. On January 21, returning officers will publish the final list of candidates and allocate electoral symbols. Campaigning will officially begin on January 22.
Election campaigning may continue until 7:30 am on February 10. Voting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 12, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
