Poet and thinker Farhad Mazhar commented on the issue of rumors of the resignation of Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus in a Facebook post.
Farhad Mazhar posted this on his verified Facebook account at 8:39 am on Friday (May 23).
In the post, he wrote, ‘Dr. Yunus made a mistake by expressing his intention to resign. Resignation will be his failure, for him it will be suicidal. He should respect the historical intentions of the people, not any individual or party, and trust the people without being misled by the pressure of any party or group.’
Farhad Mazhar wrote, ‘The people of Bangladesh elected Dr. Yunus not through elections, but through a bloody mass uprising. He must try the murderers, start the process of forming a new Bangladesh through the formulation of a new constitution, formulate and implement people-friendly and investment-friendly policies against the establishment of global corporate occupation by coercion of a near-open market system, and above all, form a strong army capable of fighting and winning against enemy countries including Delhi and Myanmar. Because Bangladesh must achieve the courage to ensure that the Rohingyas go to their own country and rehabilitate them. Bangladeshi soldiers are the children of this country, they are inextricably linked to the collective will or intention of the people of Bangladesh. The interests of the people are their interests too. Because they are also part of the people—none of us came from Mars.’
Farhad Mazhar wrote in the post, stating that the elections must be held quickly, ‘The people want the misunderstanding between the Chief Advisor and the Bangladesh Army to end. The election must be held as soon as possible, but the comments made by the army chief about the election outside his jurisdiction due to the conspiracy of the evil circles are an argument to put the looters and mafia class back in power. The people participating in the mass uprising will not accept it. The responsibility of pushing the country into a field of competition between different forces to seize power and towards civil war will then fall on the army chief. Everyone will behave responsibly and protect the country and the nation, that is what the people hope for.
