The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a new pilot program offering Golden Visas to skilled professionals from Bangladesh and India, removing the earlier requirement of substantial financial investments. This nomination-based scheme is aimed at attracting talent in sectors crucial to the country’s cultural and economic growth.
Under this updated policy, professionals such as nurses, teachers, scientists, corporate executives, content creators, YouTubers, podcasters, and other digital professionals are now eligible to apply. Applicants will be evaluated through a comprehensive background check that includes financial records and social media activity. Authorities will also assess each candidate’s potential contribution to the UAE’s economy, innovation, and cultural development.
The visa fee is set at 100,000 AED, which is approximately BDT 33.3 lakh. Once approved, visa holders will enjoy lifetime residency benefits, including the ability to bring family members, hire domestic workers, and freely engage in business or professional pursuits. Importantly, this visa does not require property ownership to remain valid.
This initiative is part of the UAE’s broader economic diversification strategy and its aim to strengthen bilateral ties, especially with South Asian nations. Authorities hinted that the program may expand to include other countries, including China, in the near future.
