Islamabad — Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday issued a sharp warning that India will “this time” be buried beneath the wreckage of its own warplanes, in reaction to recent statements from India’s senior security establishment.
Posting on X, Khawaja Asif described recent comments by Indian military and political leaders as a failed attempt to reclaim lost prestige. He said those remarks revealed extreme pressure and frustration among India’s leadership and argued that if New Delhi again attempts military action after the heavy defeat he referenced, “the score will only worsen.” He added that public anger in India toward the ruling party is now reflected in the leaders’ rhetoric.
“As a state founded in the name of Allah, our defenders are soldiers of Allah,” Khawaja Asif wrote. “This time, India — God willing — will be crushed under the wreckage of its own aircraft. Allahu Akbar,” he added in his post.
Earlier, the Pakistan Army spokesman also responded to similar Indian statements, warning that provocative and bellicose remarks from senior Indian security officials could invite catastrophic destruction in South Asia. In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said such comments risk becoming a pretext for renewed aggression, with serious consequences for peace and stability in the region.
The ISPR further warned that if an aggression were to begin, Pakistan would show no restraint and would respond “firmly, swiftly and decisively.” The statement said that if India threatened to remove Pakistan from the map, such an outcome would be mutual.
