Dhaka — The National Consensus Commission has begun discussions with political parties on the implementation process of the constitutional proposals outlined in the July National Charter 2025. The dialogue started around 11:45 AM on Sunday (October 5) at the Foreign Service Academy’s Doel Hall in the capital.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, the Commission has completed preparations for the final phase of the July National Charter 2025 and finalized the key issues to be discussed with political parties in the upcoming session.
Earlier today, Commission Vice-Chair Professor Ali Riaz announced that the National Consensus Commission will soon submit its final report to the interim government. He made the remarks during a meeting held at the State Guest House Jamuna, chaired by the Commission’s President and Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
During the nearly hour-long session, members reviewed political parties’ perspectives on the Charter’s provisions and discussed the Commission’s position on its implementation strategy. Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Commission’s work and emphasized the importance of reaching broad political agreement on the Charter’s goals.
