Citing security concerns, the Indian Assistant High Commission in Chattogram has announced the temporary suspension of its visa services.
According to the announcement, the visa operations have been halted from Sunday and will remain suspended until further notice.
The information was disclosed through a notice published on Saturday on the website of the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC).
The notice stated that the decision was taken in light of recent security-related incidents in the vicinity of the Indian Assistant High Commission in Chattogram.
It further mentioned that the overall situation will be reviewed, and an official announcement will be made later regarding the resumption of visa services.
