Faridpur, 17 July 2025 — Senior leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP), headed by Convener Nahid Islam, arrived in Faridpur this afternoon to participate in a full-day programme organized by the party. Their visit has prompted increased security measures across the district.
Upon arrival, the delegation took position at the Faridpur Circuit House, where the day’s activities officially began. Though the event was originally scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM, proceedings were delayed and began around 1:30 PM.
Syeda Nilima Dola, the NCP’s Faridpur district coordinator, stated that the day’s agenda included a gathering at the Circuit House, followed by a street march to the Janata Bank intersection for a public rally. The programme also features the inauguration of the party’s local office, meetings with families of fallen freedom fighters, and visits to their graves to pay tribute.
In preparation for the event, party workers conducted extensive local outreach to rally support. Law enforcement agencies have been deployed at key points to ensure public safety and maintain order during the gathering.
Party banners and flags were prominently displayed across the city in anticipation of the NCP’s activities, signaling growing grassroots momentum for the emerging political force.
