Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has held a high-level meeting with the chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force to review the country’s overall law and order situation.
The meeting began at 12:00 noon on Sunday at the Election Commission Secretariat. Alongside the three service chiefs, other election commissioners were also present.
Senior officials from the Army, Navy, Air Force and the police are taking part in the discussions to assess preparedness and coordination among the law enforcement and security agencies during the election period.
According to the Election Commission, a separate meeting with law enforcement agencies is scheduled to be held at around 2:30 pm, which will also be chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner.
