Across the Naikhongchhari border in Bandharban, there has been renewed shelling inside Myanmar.

On Sunday (February 25) from 9 am to 12 pm, there was a shooting incident in Dhekubaniya and Wright Camp areas inside Myanmar across the Ghumdhum border.

According to the locals, there has been an ongoing conflict between the government junta forces and the rebels inside Myanmar for a long time. Several times, their shells crossed the border and exploded in Ghumdhum localities inside Bangladesh, killing and injuring several Bangladeshis. Apart from this, several mortar shells and shells have been recovered.

In this incident, the locals were evacuated to various shelters for the sake of safety. After a few days, the border residents were relieved as the shelling stopped. However, from 9 am to 12 noon on Sunday, the sound of gunshots again shook the sleepy Tambru area. As a result, fear has appeared again in the minds of the locals.
